Ken Lupton
One of New Zealand’s most accomplished Grand Prix hydroplane drivers, brings decades of experience at the top of the sport. A second‑generation racer and multiple‑time Hydro Thunder, Masport Cup and AE Baker Cup champion, Ken is known for his precision, calm under pressure, and mastery of the 2000‑horsepower Lucas Oil GP577 hydroplane. His international career has taken him across Australasia and North America, earning him a reputation as one of the sport’s most respected competitors.

Ricky Howard
A powerhouse of Australian powerboat racing and the record‑breaking pilot of Hyperactive. Ricky made history as the first person to break the 30‑minute barrier in the iconic 112 km Bridge to Bridge race, averaging an incredible 221 km/h. Known for his fearlessness, mechanical skill, and blistering pace, Ricky continues to dominate major events, including his E.C. Griffith Cup multiple wins in Whitenoise.

Tate Ramsey
Adding even more horsepower to the night is Tate Ramsey of Ramsey Racing, a rising force in Australian powerboat culture and one of the sport’s most entertaining personalities. Known for his sharp racecraft, infectious energy, and ability to connect with fans on and off the water, Tate brings a modern, adrenaline‑charged perspective to the conversation. Whether he’s breaking down the technical side of racing or sharing the raw, real moments from life in the cockpit, Tate has a knack for making the sport feel bigger, faster, and more personal.
